Be kind to others even if it hurts you:

In the days when an ice cream sundae cost much less, a 10 year old boy entered a hotel coffee shop and sat at a table. A waitress put a glass of water in front of him.

‘How much is an ice cream sundae?’

’50 cents,’ replied the waitress.

The little boy pulled his hand out of his pocket and studied a number of coins in it.

‘How much is a dish of plain ice cream?’ he inquired. Some people were now waiting for a table and the waitress was a bit impatient.

’35 cents,’ she said brusquely.

The little boy again counted the coins. ‘I’ll have the plain ice cream,’ he said.

The waitress brought the ice cream, put the bill on the table and walked away. The boy finished the ice cream, paid the cashier and departed.

When the waitress came back, she began wiping down the table and then swallowed hard at what she saw.

There, placed neatly beside the empty dish, were 15 cents – her tip.

Two Silly Goats:

There lived two silly goats in a village.

There was a narrow bridge over a river in the village.

One day, the goats wanted to cross the bridge.

One silly goat was on one side.

The other one was on the other side.

One of them said, “I shall go first. Allow me to pass."

The other goat said, “No. I must cross first. You move aside."

Neither of them yielded.

At last, they came to the middle of the bridge.

They began to fight terribly.

As they were fighting, both of them fell into the river and were drowned.

Moral: Love your neighbours.

Story of the day

Always tell the truth:

One night four college kids stayed out late, partying and having a good time. They paid no mind to the test they had scheduled for the next day and didn't study. In the morning, they hatched a plan to get out of taking their test. They covered themselves with grease and dirt and went to the Dean's office. Once there, they said they had been to a wedding the previous night and on the way back they got a flat tire and had to push the car back to campus.

The Dean listened to their tale of woe and thought. He offered them a retest three days later. They thanked him and accepted his offer that time.

When the test day arrived, they went to the Dean. The Dean put them all in separate rooms for the test. They were fine with this since they had all studied hard. Then they saw the test.

जीवन में अच्छी चीजों पर ध्यान दें:

  दो दोस्त रेगिस्तान से गुजर रहे थे।  अपनी यात्रा के एक पड़ाव पर, उनके बीच बहस हो गई और एक दोस्त ने दूसरे के चेहरे पर थप्पड़ मार दिया।

  जिसे थप्पड़ पड़ा उसे बहुत दुख हुआ, लेकिन उसने बिना कुछ कहे रेत पर लिख दिया, 'आज मेरे जिगरी दोस्त ने मेरे मुंह पर थप्पड़ मारा।'

  वे तब तक चलते रहे जब तक कि उन्हें एक नखलिस्तान नहीं मिल गया, जहाँ उन्होंने नहाने का फैसला किया।  जिसको थप्पड़ पड़ा वह दलदल में फंस गया और डूबने लगा, लेकिन उसके दोस्त ने उसे बचा लिया।  सदमे से उबरने के बाद उसने एक पत्थर पर लिखा, 'आज मेरे सबसे अच्छे दोस्त ने मेरी जान बचाई।'

  जिस दोस्त ने अपने सबसे अच्छे दोस्त को थप्पड़ मारा और बचाया, उससे पूछा, 'मैंने तुम्हें चोट पहुँचाने के बाद, तुमने रेत में लिखा और अब, तुम पत्थर में लिखते हो, क्यों?'

  दूसरे मित्र ने उत्तर दिया, 'जब कोई हमें दुःख पहुँचाए तो हमें उसे रेत पर लिख देना चाहिए जहाँ क्षमा की हवा उसे मिटा सके।  लेकिन, जब कोई हमारे लिए कुछ अच्छा करता है, तो हमें उसे पत्थर पर लिख देना चाहिए ताकि कोई हवा उसे मिटा न सके।'

A Pound is a Pound:

 There was once a farmer who, each week, sold a pound of butter to a baker. After several weeks of buying a pound of butter from the farmer, the baker decided to weigh the butter that he was receiving to ensure it was indeed a full pound. When the baker weighed it, he learned that the butter was under a pound, which enraged him. He felt he was being cheated and he decided to take the farmer to court.

 When in court, the judge asked the farmer how he was weighing the butter. The farmer said, “Your Honor, I am poor. I do not own an exact measuring tool. However, I do have a scale.”

 The judge then asked if the farmer uses the scale to measure the butter.

 The farmer said, “Your Honor, I have been buying a one-pound loaf of bread from the baker since long before he began purchasing butter from me. Whenever the baker brings bread for me, I put it on the scale and then measure out the exact same weight in butter to give him in return. So, if the baker is not getting a pound of butter, he is also not giving a pound of bread like he promised.”

 The Moral:

 You get what you give. If you try to cheat others out of what you promise them, you will be cheated in return. The more honest you are, the easier it is to trust other people and not suspect they may be cheating you in some way. When you’re honest, not only will other people trust you, but you will also feel more confident in your trust with others. Honesty is always the best route–especially if you want others to be honest with you as well.

The Stranger in the Garden:

Once upon a time, there was a man who had a big garden. He had planted many fruit trees and cared for them till they bore fruits. Now he wanted to harvest the fruits and sell them to make money for his family.

One fine day, while picking the fruits with his son, the man saw a stranger sitting on the branch of a tree and picking fruits. The man became angry and shouted, "Hey you! What are you doing on my tree? Aren't you ashamed of stealing?"

The stranger sitting on the branch looked at the gardener, but didn't reply, and continued picking the fruits. The gardener was very angry and shouted again, "For a whole year I have taken care of these trees. You have no right to take the fruits without my permission. So come down at once!"

The stranger on the tree answered, "Why should I come down? This is the garden of God and I am the servant of God, so I have the right to pick these fruits. You should not interfere with the work of God and his servant."

The gardener was very surprised at this answer and thought of a plan. He told the stranger to come down from the tree. As the stranger climbed down the tree, the gardener tied him to the tree and began beating him with a stick. The stranger began to scream, "Why are you beating me? You have no right to do this."

The gardener paid no attention and continued beating him. The stranger screamed, "Don't you fear God? You are beating an innocent man. The gardener answered, "Why should I fear? This wood in my hand belongs to God and I am the servant of God. You shouldn't interfere with the work of God and his servant."

The stranger hesitated and then spoke, "Wait. Don't beat me, I am sorry for taking the fruits. This is your garden and I should seek your permission before taking the fruits. So, please forgive me and set me free." The gardener smiled and said, "Don't use God's name to justify your ill-conceived actions."

Then the gardener untied him and let him go free.

जब ब्रह्मा ने ली श्रीकृष्ण की परीक्षा लीला देख कर हुए हैरान

🙏🌳🙏🌳🙏🌳🙏🌳🙏🌳🙏🌳🙏🌳🙏🌳🙏

आज हम भगवान श्रीकृष्ण के बालपन की एक ऐसी ही स्मृति को दोहराते हैं एक बार की बात है। जगतपिता ब्रह्मा के मन में बाल कृष्ण की परीक्षा लेने का विचार आया। उन्होंने कुछ ऐसा करने का विचार किया, जो बालक कृष्ण को इतने संकट में डाल दे कि श्री विष्णु के इस अवतार को उनके पास सहायता मांगने आना पड़े। वास्तव में यह उनका अहंकार था और बालक कृष्ण का तो जन्म ही सबके अहंकार को समाप्त करने के लिए हुआ था।

ब्रह्मा जी ने अपनी योजना के अनुसार उस समय की प्रतीक्षा की, जब बालक कृष्ण अपने बाल सखाओं के साथ वन में खेलने और गाय चराने जाते थे। दोपहर में खेलकर थकने के बाद सभी विश्राम कर रहे थे, तभी ब्रह्मा जी ने अपनी चाल चला दी। उन्होंने अपनी शक्ति से सभी बाल ग्वालों और गायों को सम्मोहन निद्रा में डालकर उठा लिया और स्वर्ग में छिपा दिया। ब्रह्मा जी यह देखना चाह रहे थे कि श्रीकृष्ण को अपने मित्रों से कितना मोह हैं या सब झूठ है। लेकिन भगवान कृष्ण ने अपने भक्तों को कभी परेशान नहीं देख सकते।

ब्रह्मा जी ने खेल तो बालक के साथ खेला था, लेकिन उनको यह ध्यान नहीं रहा कि श्री कृष्ण तो सब जानते हैं। जो सृष्टि को चलाते है वह नहीं समझेगें कि कहां क्या, हो रहा है। उन्हें सिर्फ अपने परीक्षा का परिणाम देखना था।

श्रीकृष्ण ब्रह्मा का रचा खेल तो समझ रहे थे, इसलिए मित्रो की चिंता नहीं थी। वे तो ब्रह्मा जी के खेल का आनंद ले रहे थे उनके मन में डर था कि जब इनके माता पिता को पता चलेगा कि खेलते खेलते पुत्र गायब हो गए तो वह बहुत दुखी हो जाएंगें। संध्या काल में जब घर जाने का समय हुआ, तो श्री कृष्ण ने अपनी लीला से हर एक बाल गोपाल और गाय का रूप धारण किया और सब घरों में पहुंच गए। किसी को पता ही ना हुआ कि आज उनके घर में उनकी संतान नहीं, बल्कि स्वयं भगवान पधारे हैं। यह अवश्य हुआ कि वृंदावन की हर माता ने उस दिन अद्भुत ममता का अनुभव किया।

इस तरह श्री कृष्ण ने अपनी दिव्यता से ब्रह्मा जी का अहंकार तोड़ दिया। उधर वृंदावन की समस्त माताओं को कभी समझ ना आया कि पिछले एक सप्ताह से उनकी संतानों में ऐसा क्या सम्मोहन पैदा हुआ था कि वे पल भर भी उनकी छवि मन से ना हटा पा रही थीं। आखिर बाल कृष्ण की लीला को कौन समझ सका है? भगवान श्रीकृष्ण अपने भक्तो की बात हमेशा सुनते हैं। श्रीकृष्ण बहुत जल्दी प्रसन्न होते हैं और भक्तों पर कृपा बनाते हैं।

🌼द्वारकाधीश की कृपा🌼

कहते हैं भक्ति सच्ची हो तो ईश्वर को भक्त के सामने आना ही पड़ता है और ईश्वर के जिसे दर्शन हो जाएं उसे कुछ न कुछ देकर ही जाते हैं।

.

यह एक ऐसे ही भक्त की कथा है जिसे भगवान श्री कृष्ण ने दर्शन दिए और जाते-जाते छोड़ गए शरीर पर शंख और चक्र के निशान।

.

यह कथा है आमेर नरेश श्री पृथ्वीराज जी स्वामी की। एक बार इनके गुरु पयोहारी जी द्वारिका जी यात्रा पर जाने लगे तो पृथ्वीराज भी द्वारिका जाने की तैयारी करने लगे। इन्होंने कहा कि द्वारिका जाकर शरीर पर शंख चक्र बनवाउंगा।

.

गुरु पयोहारी जी ने कहा कि अगर तुम राज्य छोड़कर चले जाओगे तो राज्य में अव्यवस्था फैल जाएगी। धर्म-कर्म से लोगों का ध्यान हट जाएगा। इसलिए आमेर में रहकर ही कृष्ण की भक्ति करो।

.

गुरु की बात मानकर श्रीपृथ्वीराज जी आमेर में ही रह गए लेकिन इनका ध्यान द्वारकाधीश में ही लगा रहा। रात में जब यह सोए हुए थे तब इन्हें लगा कि अचानक तेज प्रकाश फैल गया है और भगवान श्री द्वारकाधीश स्वयं प्रकट हो गए हैं।

.

राजा श्रीपृथ्वीराज जी ने द्वारकाधीश जी की परिक्रमा की और प्रणाम किया। भगवन ने कहा कि तुम अब गोमती संगम में डूबकी लगाओ। राजा को लगा कि वह गोमती तट पर पहुंच गए हैं और गोमती में डूबकी लगा रहे हैं।

.

सुबह जब राजा महल से बाहर नहीं निकले तो रानी उनके शयन कक्ष में पहुंची। रानी ने देखा राजा सोए हुए हैं और उनका पूरा शरीर भींगा हुआ है जैसे स्नान करके आए हों। रानी ने देखा कि राजा के बाजू पर शंख और चक्र के निशान उभर आए हैं।

.

राजा की नींद खुली तो वह भी इस चमत्कार को देख कर हैरान थे। उन्हें लगा कि भगवान स्वयं उनकी इच्छा पूरी करने के लिए आए थे। इसके बाद राजा पूरी तरह से कृष्ण भक्ति में लीन हो गए।

मुस्कान तेरी सांवरे मेरे मन मे बस रही हैं

जादू भरी नजर से कई तीर कस रही हैं

कुर्बान हो चुके है तेरी हर अदा पे मोहन

तेरे रूप के भँवर मे मेरी जान फँस रही हैं

भगवान_शिव_का_अतुलनीय_रूप ll 

*एक बार गणेशजी ने भगवान शिवजी से कहा: पिताजी आप यह चिताभस्म लगाकर, मुण्डमाला धारणकर अच्छे नहीं लगते। मेरी माता गौरी अपूर्व सुंदरी और आप उनके साथ इस भयंकर रूप में!*

*पिताजी, आप एक बार कृपा करके अपने सुंदर रूप में माता के सम्मुख आएं जिससे हम आपका असली स्वरूप देख सकें।*

( *भगवान शिवजी मुस्कुराये और गणेशजी की बात मान ली।*)

*कुछ समय बाद जब शिवजी स्नान करके लौटे तो उनके शरीर पर भस्म नहीं थी। बिखरी जटाएं सँवरी हुई, मुण्डमाला उतरी हुई थी।*

*सभी देवता, यक्ष, गंधर्व, शिवगण उन्हें अपलक देखते रह गये। वो ऐसा रूप था कि मोहिनी अवतार रूप भी उसके सामने फीका पड़ जाये।*

*भगवान शिव ने अपना यह रूप कभी भी प्रकट नहीं किया था। शिवजी का ऐसा अतुलनीय रूप करोड़ों कामदेव को भी मलिन कर रहा था।*

*गणेशजी अपने पिता की इस मनमोहक छवि को देखकर स्तब्ध रह गए और मस्तक झुकाकर बोले: मुझे क्षमा करें पिताजी, परन्तु अब आप अपने पूर्व स्वरूप को धारण कर लीजिए।*

*भगवान शिव मुस्कुराये और पूछा: क्यों पुत्र अभी तो तुमने ही मुझे इस रूप में देखने की इच्छा प्रकट की थी, अब पुनः पूर्व स्वरूप में आने की बात क्यों?*

*गणेशजी ने मस्तक झुकाये हुए ही कहा: क्षमा करें पिताश्री, मेरी माता से सुंदर कोई और दिखे मैं ऐसा कदापि नहीं चाहता।*

( *शिवजी हँसे और अपने पुराने स्वरूप में लौट आये।*)

_*पौराणिक ऋषि इस प्रसंग का सार स्पष्ट करते हुए कहते हैं की: आज भी ऐसा ही होता है। पिता रुद्र रूप में रहता है क्योंकि उसके ऊपर परिवार की जिम्मेदारियों, परिवार के रक्षण और उनके मान सम्मान की जिम्मेदारी होती है तो थोड़ा कठोर बनना पड़ता है।*_

_*और माँ सौम्य, प्यार, लाड़, स्नेह देकर उस कठोरता का बैलेंस बनाती है। इसलिए सुंदर होता है माँ का स्वरूप।*_

_*पिता के ऊपर से भी यदि जिम्मेदारियों का बोझ हट जाए तो वो भी बहुत सुंदर दिखता है।*_

प्रेममयी झूठ एक कहानी..या हकीकत

"मम्मी , मम्मी ! मैं उस बुढिया के साथ स्कूल नही जाऊंगा, ना ही उसके साथ वापस आउँगा, "मेरे दस वर्ष के बेटे ने गुस्से से अपना स्कूल बैग फेंकते हुए कहा तो मैं बुरी तरह से चौंक गई।

यह क्या कह रहा है?

अपनी दादी को बुढिया क्यों कह रहा है?

कहाँ से सीख रहा है इतनी बदतमीजी?

मैं सोच ही रही थी कि बगल के कमरे से उसके चाचा बाहर निकले और पुछा-"क्या हुआ बेटा?"

उसने फिर कहा- "चाहे कुछ भी हो जाए मैं उस बुढिया के साथ स्कूल नहीं जाउँगा। हमेशा डाँटती है और मेरे दोस्त भी मुझे चिढाते हैं।"

घर के सारे लोग उसकी बात पर चकित थे।

घर मे बहुत सारे लोग थे।

मैं और मेरे पति,दो देवर और देवरानी, एक ननद, ससुर और नौकर भी।

फिर भी मेरे बेटे को स्कूल छोडने और लाने की जिम्मेदारी उसके दादी की थी।

पैरों मे दर्द रहता था पर पोते के प्रेम मे कभी शिकायत नही करती थी।बहुत प्यार करती थी उसको क्योंकि घर का पहला पोता था।

पर अचानक बेटे के मुँह से उनके लिए ऐसे शब्द सुन कर सबको बहुत आश्चर्य हो रहा था।

शाम को खाने पर उसे बहुत समझाया गया पर वह अपनी जिद पर अडा रहा और पति ने तो गुस्से मे उसे थप्पड़ भी मार दिया।

तब सबने तय किया कि कल से उसे स्कूल छोडने और लेने माँजी नही जाएँगी ।

अगले दिन से कोई और उसे लाने ले जाने लगा पर मेरा मन विचलित रहने लगा कि आखिर उसने ऐसा क्यों किया?

मै उससे कुछ नाराज भी थी।

शाम का समय था, मैने दुध गर्म किया और बेटे को देने के लिए उसने ढुँढने लगी, मैं छत पर पहुँची तो बेटे के मुँह से मेरे बारे मे बात करते सुन कर मेरे पैर ठिठक गये ।

मैं छुपकर उसकी बात सुनने लगी, वह अपनी दादी के गोद मे सर रख कर कह रहा था-

"मैं जानता हूँ दादी कि मम्मी मुझसे नाराज है, पर मैं क्या करता?

इतनी ज्यादा गर्मी मे भी वो आपको मुझे लेने भेज देते थे।

आपके पैरों मे दर्द भी तो रहता है, मैने मम्मी से कहा तो उन्होंने कहा कि दादी अपनी मर्जी से जाती हैं।

दादी मैंने झूँठ बोला, बहुत गलत किया पर आपको परेशानी से बचाने के लिये मुझे यही सुझा। 

आप मम्मी को बोल दो मुझे माफ कर दे।"

वह कहता जा रहा था और मेरे पैर तथा मन सुन्न पड़ गये थे। मुझे अपने बेटे के झुठ बोलने के पीछे के बड़प्पन को महसुस कर गर्व हो रहा था।

मैने दौड कर उसे गले लगा लिया और बोली- "नहीं , बेटे तुमने कुछ गलत नही किया।

हम सभी पढे लिखे नासमझो को समझाने का यही तरीका था।

🙏बंधन 🙏

एक पंडित रोज रानी के पास कथा करता था। कथा के अंत में सबको कहता कि ‘राम कहे तो बंधन टूटे’। तभी पिंजरे में बंद तोता बोलता, ‘यूं मत कहो रे पंडित झूठे’। 

पंडित को क्रोध आता कि ये सब क्या सोचेंगे, रानी क्या सोचेगी। पंडित अपने गुरु के पास गया, गुरु को सब हाल बताया। गुरु तोते के पास गया और पूछा तुम ऐसा क्यों कहते हो?

तोते ने कहा- ‘मैं पहले खुले आकाश में उड़ता था। एक बार मैं एक आश्रम में जहां सब साधू-संत राम-राम-राम बोल रहे थे, वहां बैठा तो मैंने भी राम-राम बोलना शुरू कर दिया। 

एक दिन मैं उसी आश्रम में राम-राम बोल रहा था, तभी एक संत ने मुझे पकड़ कर पिंजरे में बंद कर लिया, फिर मुझे एक-दो श्लोक सिखाये। आश्रम में एक सेठ ने मुझे संत को कुछ पैसे देकर खरीद लिया। अब सेठ ने मुझे चांदी के पिंजरे में रखा, मेरा बंधन बढ़ता गया।

 निकलने की कोई संभावना न रही। एक दिन उस सेठ ने राजा से अपना काम निकलवाने के लिए मुझे राजा को गिफ्ट कर दिया, राजा ने खुशी-खुशी मुझे ले लिया, क्योंकि मैं राम-राम बोलता था। 

रानी धार्मिक प्रवृत्ति की थी तो राजा ने रानी को दे दिया। अब मैं कैसे कहूं कि ‘राम-राम कहे तो बंधन छूटे’।

तोते ने गुरु से कहा आप ही कोई युक्ति बताएं, जिससे मेरा बंधन छूट जाए। गुरु बोले- आज तुम चुपचाप सो जाओ, हिलना भी नहीं। रानी समझेगी मर गया और छोड़ देगी। ऐसा ही हुआ। 

दूसरे दिन कथा के बाद जब तोता नहीं बोला, तब संत ने आराम की सांस ली। रानी ने सोचा तोता तो गुमसुम पढ़ा है, शायद मर गया। रानी ने पिंजरा खोल दिया, तभी तोता पिंजरे से निकलकर आकाश में उड़ते हुए बोलने लगा ‘सतगुरु मिले तो बंधन छूटे’।

 अतः शास्त्र कितना भी पढ़ लो, कितना भी जाप कर लो, लेकिन सच्चे गुरु के बिना बंधन नहीं छूटता।

🌳 दो अनमोल हीरे 🌳

एक सौदागर को बाज़ार में घूमते हुए एक उम्दा नस्ल का ऊंट दिखाई पड़ा!

सौदागर और ऊंट बेचने वाले के बीच काफी लंबी सौदेबाजी हुई और आखिर में सौदागर ऊंट खरीद कर घर ले आया!

घर पहुंचने पर सौदागर ने अपने नौकर को ऊंट का कजावा

 ( काठी) निकालने के लिए बुलाया..!

कजावे के नीचे नौकर को एक छोटी सी मखमल की थैली मिली जिसे खोलने पर उसे कीमती हीरे जवाहरात भरे होने का पता चला..!

नौकर चिल्लाया,"मालिक आपने ऊंट खरीदा, लेकिन देखो, इसके साथ क्या मुफ्त में आया है!"

सौदागर भी हैरान था, उसने अपने नौकर के हाथों में हीरे देखे जो कि चमचमा रहे थे और सूरज की रोशनी में और भी टिम टिमा रहे थे!

सौदागर बोला: " मैंने ऊंट ख़रीदा है, न कि हीरे, मुझे उसे फौरन वापस करना चाहिए!"

नौकर मन में सोच रहा था कि मेरा मालिक कितना बेवकूफ है...!

बोला: "मालिक किसी को पता नहीं चलेगा!" पर, सौदागर ने एक न सुनी और वह फौरन बाज़ार पहुंचा और दुकानदार को मख़मली थैली वापिस दे दी!

ऊंट बेचने वाला बहुत ख़ुश था, बोला, "मैं भूल ही गया था कि अपने कीमती पत्थर मैंने कजावे के नीचे छुपा के रख दिए थे!

अब आप इनाम के तौर पर कोई भी एक हीरा चुन लीजिए!

"सौदागर बोला," मैंने ऊंट के लिए सही कीमत चुकाई है इसलिए मुझे किसी शुक्राने और ईनाम की जरूरत नहीं है!"

जितना सौदागर मना करता जा रहा था, ऊंट बेचने वाला उतना ही ज़ोर दे रहा था!

आख़िर में सौदागर ने मुस्कुराते हुए कहा: असलियत में जब मैंने थैली वापस लाने का फैसला किया तो मैंने पहले से ही दो सबसे कीमती हीरे इसमें से अपने पास रख लिए थे!

इस कबूलनामें के बाद ऊंट बेचने वाला भड़क गया उसने अपने हीरे जवाहरात गिनने के लिए थैली को फ़ौरन खाली कर लिया!

पर वह था बड़ी पशोपेश में बोला,"मेरे सारे हीरे तो यही है, तो सबसे कीमती दो कौन से थे जो आपने रख़ लिए?"

 

सौदागर बोला:... " मेरी ईमानदारी और मेरी खुद्दारी"

जिन जिन के पास यह 2 हीरे है वह दुनिया के सबसे अमीर व्यक्ति हैं।......
